Dad made lunch for Matt

Yogurt, pretzels, peach, ice cream with chocolate chunks, and mint chocolate morsels.

He's 6. (He says in the picture)

Update: Science project complete. If you give a 6 year old ice cream with his meal he will eat it first.

... Probably because pretzels won't melt. He's so smart.

Happy Saturday

I hope Matt remembers some of it.

Will and Jacob had soccer games.

Jacob drove to his game (up to 60 mph for the first time!)

Jacob played goalie for the first half

We went to the pool after dinner.

Who's really keeping track anyway?

The following conversation took place at the dinner table this evening.

Dad - "Matt.  What did you do this weekend?"
Matt - "mm" (pointing at his mouth full of chocolate covered toast)
Dad - "You had dinner?"
Matt - "mm hmm" (nodding)
Dad - "What else did you do this weekend?"
Matt - "I don't know." (done chewing of course)
Dad - "What did you do today?"
Matt - "I went outside"

Here is a quick recap of the weekend that Matt has no recollection of.

Friday - Matt's birthday party at our house.  About 10,000 friends and family members celebrated Matt's 6th birthday.
Saturday - Matt competed in his first triathlon.  The entire family went to Jacob's soccer game where Matt played on the playground.  When we got home Matt and Will played basketball with our new neighbors while Jacob played Airsoft with his friends.
Sunday - Matt learned how to cast a big boy fishing pole.  Our entire family played a round of golf in Daytona Beach.  We went out to lunch, drank Slurpees, had chocolate for breakfast and dinner.

This was one of the busiest weekends of my life.  Matt remembers none of it.
